In case you missed it, on 9 September 2024, Oracle and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) announced the launch of Oracle Database@AWS, which will provide access to Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Exadata Database Service from within AWS. This will fill the obvious gap in the market left by the introduction of the equivalent offerings provided by Oracle Database@Azure and Oracle Database@Google.
Each offering provides an integrated service across the respective native cloud services and Oracle database, with benefits that include flexible licensing options, single-source procurement via the parent Cloud, simplified connection from Cloud-based applications to the database and access to Oracle support without establishing a direct business relationship with Oracle.
